Onboarding for local village pub
Challenge -
The pub is very busy and has many young staff often starting their first job. Due to the time constraints and lack of experience it is difficult to ensure everyone receives the same level of training.
Solution Process-
I Interviewed all of the recent hires, as well as some experienced members of staff to discover exactly what the new hires needed to be able to do as part of their job. I was also interested in what they were most nervous about, especially as for many this was their first job.
Result -
Some elements are still under construction
Clear outline of paperwork needed to be completed before starting, including an infographic of what needs to be done at the beginning of each shift.
